A Difference of Opinion
Does your partner feel differently than you about the Kids or Childfree choice?
Or maybe they're telling you they don't care either way, and now you feel like the weight of this choice is all on you?
You find yourself thinking...
◇ "My partner and I aren't on the same page about if we want to become parents or not."
◇ "I'm scared our relationship is going to end."
◇ "This choice is coming between us, and I have no idea what to do next."
◇ "When we try to talk about this decision, the conversation doesn't go well. I don't think we know how to have good communication about something so big and sensitive."

If you're struggling to get onto the same page as your partner, then A Difference of Opinion will help you get some clarity on what happens next.
“Difference of Opinion: On Demand was incredibly useful for me and my husband. Going into the course, I thought our underlying desires for our lives might not match given that we envisioned our child/childfree futures differently, but they were very aligned. The course really helped us delve deeper into why we wanted to have children/be childfree, reiterated to both of us that our relationship is our priority, and that we will figure out this decision together.”
Jaimie from Pennsylvania, USA
"How can we have a shared future if we can't agree about this?"

Being at odds with your partner about the Kids or Childfree choice is tough — but there is a way forward.
I get it. You normally pride yourselves on having good communication, yet when the word "kids" enters the chat, communication breaks down.
It's confusing to be at odds with someone you love and care about deeply, and you know they feel the same way about you.
It may seem like compromise is a ridiculous concept. Either you have kids, or you don't. And ultimately, you're right. But what if there were compromises to be had in the way you arrive at the decision?
If you and your partner are stuck on this choice, it's time to set some dedicated time aside to break these life paths down brick by brick, understand the parts, and see what you can rebuild together.
In A Difference of Opinion, you and your partner will work to find common ground, identify shared priorities, get honest about your fears, and cultivate openness.
I strongly encourage you to watch this session and do the exercises alongside your partner. After all, it’s only through open communication and finding a path that works for the both of you that this impasse can be resolved.
"Investing in this decision with Keltie and her work is definitely worth it!"
Kaitlyn from Ontario, Canada

"Since starting the On Demand resources, so much of my anxiety around this decision has faded away. I am actually starting to feel excited about my future on the other side of this decision!
The classes fit around my busy schedule, and if you aren’t quite ready for a conversation, they are an impactful first step to gaining clarity. It’s also great to have the resources to come back to in case of any future wobbles. "

Have a question about On Demand? I've got answers.
Q: What class should I start with?
A: I’d suggest starting with Find Calm in the Storm (if you, like so many of us, are totally spinning out about your choice!) or Discover Your Desires (to help you connect with what you want first and foremost).
That said, the On Demand classes can be done in any order, so pick the topic that speaks most to you. The most important part is to start!
Q: Is On Demand a good option if I want to hear from fellow fence-sitters?
A: You can certainly still get a lot out of the On Demand classes, but they are structured to be individual work.
If you’re interested in hearing from other fence-sitters, check out the Kids or Childfree Podcast, and if you’re interested in exchange with others in the same boat as you, try taking our Kids or Childfree Workshop or Kids or Childfree Group Program.
Q: Should I do this class alone, or with my partner?
A: I'd recommend moving through the material independently so that you can really take the time to get to know your answers. A Difference of Opinion, however, can be done with your partner.
Q: Is the On Demand class material the same as what's taught in the Kids or Childfree Workshop or Kids or Childfree Group Program?
A: No, On Demand classes were created so that you could theoretically purchase all of my Kids or Childfree coaching offerings and not hear the same things on repeat.
That said, there are certain ideas and questions that you may have heard me share before, because well, they're important and the approach works!
