A round-table discussion with 3 childfree elders about what it's like to age without children.

Childfree Over 60

Your childfree life today is pretty damn good. But what will life without kids look like as you age?

Imagining getting older without kids brings a rush of worries.

◇ "Who will take care of me when I'm old?"

◇ "Will I be lonely?"

◇ "What happens when I die? Who will arrange my funeral? What'll happen to my belongings?"

◇ "Will the day come where life slows down, and I step back and regret my choice?"

◇ "How will I spend holidays?"

◇ "Maybe I won't regret not having kids, but will I be sad to miss out on being a grandparent?"

Tune in to Childfree Over 60 to hear The Kids or Childfree Podcast guests Maria Coffey, Kate Kaufmann, and Helen Taylor share their experiences as childfree women in their 70's, then digest all their wisdom with an accompanying workbook.

"I was yearning for an opinion from an elderly childfree woman because my own biggest doubt point is, What about when I am old?"

"Will I regret being childfree when I'm old?"

Being childfree was a no-brainer in your 20s, but the uncertainty started creeping its way in when you hit 30. Now, you're trying to make an informed choice.

And honestly? You can imaging loving your childfree life in your 30s and 40s. Maybe even your 50s. But when you start to think about those later decades, you've got some concerns.

Too many of us grew up without many (any!?) childfree role models, so we have no one to show us what aging without kids looks like. We don't have anyone we can ask those scary questions to.

So I gathered a panel of women over the age of 60 (in fact, they're all in their 70's!) who never had kids for an honest discussion.

Three childfree elders lay it all out about...

◇ Childfree regret and grief
◇ The ups and downs of aging without children
◇ What family means and looks like without kids
◇  How life is, over 60, when you don’t have kids

In Childfree Over 60, you'll hear from three childfree elders and reflect on what they shared before facing your own fears about aging and growing your childfree confidence.

"Since starting the On Demand resources, so much of my anxiety around this decision has faded away. I am actually starting to feel excited about my future on the other side of this decision!

The classes fit around my busy schedule, and if you aren’t quite ready for a conversation, they are an impactful first step to gaining clarity. It’s also great to have the resources to come back to in case of any future wobbles. "

Have a question about On Demand? I've got answers.

Q: What class should I start with?

A: I’d suggest starting with Find Calm in the Storm (if you, like so many of us, are totally spinning out about your choice!) or Discover Your Desires (to help you connect with what you want first and foremost).

That said, the On Demand classes can be done in any order, so pick the topic that speaks most to you. The most important part is to start!

Q: Is On Demand a good option if I want to hear from fellow fence-sitters?

A: You can certainly still get a lot out of the On Demand classes, but they are structured to be individual work.

If you’re interested in hearing from other fence-sitters, check out the Kids or Childfree Podcast, and if you’re interested in exchange with others in the same boat as you, try taking our Kids or Childfree Workshop or Kids or Childfree Group Program.

Q: Should I do this class alone, or with my partner?

A: I'd recommend moving through the material independently so that you can really take the time to get to know your answers. A Difference of Opinion, however, can be done with your partner.

Q: Is the On Demand class material the same as what's taught in the Kids or Childfree Workshop or Kids or Childfree Group Program?

A: No, On Demand classes were created so that you could theoretically purchase all of my Kids or Childfree coaching offerings and not hear the same things on repeat.

That said, there are certain ideas and questions that you may have heard me share before, because well, they're important and the approach works!
